About Nicolaus Winters, MD

A graduate of Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY, Dr. Winters earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology. His pursuit of medical excellence led him to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville, where he also completed an anesthesiology residency.

Driven by a passion for addressing the multifaceted nature of pain, Dr. Winters further specialized in pain management through a fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham. The comprehensive training equipped him with the skills and insight necessary to provide effective relief and support to individuals grappling with pain. He joined the team at Commonwealth Pain & Spine in 2014.

Dr. Winters’ dedication to his patients is reflected not only in his extensive training, but also in his compassionate approach to care. With a commitment to listening to each patient’s unique needs and concerns, he ensures that every individual receives personalized attention and support on their journey toward healing.
