After Surgery

After your procedure, we will provide detailed recovery instructions to guide your healing process.

Here is what to expect immediately after your procedure.

In the Recovery Area

After your procedure, you will be taken to the recovery area, where a nurse will:

  • Apply monitors to track your vital signs.

  • Check your surgical dressings and IV site.

Preparing to Go Home

When you are ready to be discharged, your nurse will provide you with detailed instructions for your recovery at home. Please note:

  • You must have your driver take you home. Public transportation, including taxis or rideshares, is not permitted.

  • You will need a caretaker or someone you trust to stay with you for at least 24 hours following your surgery.

What to Expect at Home

  • Sleepiness or dizziness is normal for 12–24 hours after surgery.

  • Do not return to work or drive until released by your surgeon.

When to Seek Medical Attention

Contact your physician or go to the nearest emergency room if you experience:

  • Severe pain that is not relieved by prescribed medication.

  • Heavy bleeding from the surgical site.

  • A temperature of 101 °F or higher.

Your health and safety are our top priorities. If you have any questions or concerns after your surgery, our team is here to support you.
