Day of Surgery

Upon arrival, our front desk team will welcome you to ASI.

Our team will take the time to review your personal information, verify your insurance details, and ensure you have arranged for someone to drive you home after your procedure.

Please read and follow the directions below carefully to ensure your procedure goes as planned.

  • What to Bring: Bring your insurance card and a photo ID to the surgery center.

  • Transportation: You must have a driver present at the surgery center for the entire duration of your procedure. If the patient is a dependent adult, a legal guardian must also remain at the facility throughout the surgery.

The Check-In Process

After checking in at the front desk, you will be escorted to the pre-admission area by one of our Registered Nurses (RNs). In this area, the RN will:

  • Review your medical history, including any current medications and previous surgeries.

  • Take your vital signs.

  • Answer any last-minute questions you may have.

Meeting with Your Physician

Before your procedure begins, your physician will meet with you in the pre-op area to:

  • Address any additional concerns.

  • Confirm the details of your surgery.

Following these steps ensures your procedure runs smoothly and allows our team to provide the highest level of care. If you have any questions about what to expect on the day of surgery, please contact us in advance.
